Service Manager

Service Manager

Based in Katanning, in the Great Southern Region, the Service Manager, will have the unique opportunity to lead an exceptionally talented and dedicated team who take pride in their work and value our customers.

We're looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives on providing the highest level of customer service, whilst maximising productivity of a technical team. This key leadership role requires excellent interpersonal & communication skills and have the ability to multi-task and delegate. The ideal candidate will provide and maintain excellent customer service and be the frontline service contact for our valued external customers.

Key responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Workshop Foreman strategically manage day to day job allocations for Technicians, Apprentices and Trades Assistants.
  • Receive and coordinate customer bookings whilst quickly determining priority
  • Plan work rosters, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results
  • Assist the Service Administrators to ensure the timely processing of invoices
  • Communicate with Warranty Clerks as to progress of warranty claims, troubleshoot as required and/or escalation if deemed appropriate
  • Liaise with internal parts division to plan and have contingencies in place for unexpected supply issues
  • Liaise with internal & external customers, suppliers and transport companies
  • Communicate with Group Service Manager as to progress builds, this will also include communication with Transport Scheduler for deliveries
  • Communicate with Group Leaders on efficiencies and improvements on any customer or product related challenges
  • Review technician efficiencies and seek the necessary product training
  • Review and recommend workshop processes and equipment to ensure an optimal and industry leading workshop environment
  • Coordinate a clean, tidy and safe work environment, also ensuring all equipment is inspected and deemed safe to operate
  • In conjunction with the Group Service Manager and Workshop Foreman you will support the departments drive to attract and maintain new business.
  • In conjunction with the Group Service Manager and Workshop Foreman you will review business budgets ensuring all targets are met/exceeded whilst ensuring costs are considered and/or recovered as required

  • Trade background
  • Experience in a similar role
  • A self-starting attitude, excellent communication skills and a high level of organisational skills
  • Ability to handle numerous projects at a time
  • People Leadership experience
  • Customer focused and keen to exceed our expectations of service delivery

We are searching for candidates with a keen interest in technology, preferably in the agricultural industry, for our growing Precision Farming product portfolio - including systems for guidance, mapping, and variable rate (VRT) control applications.

Based in Moora, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated, "hands on" individual who has a passion for agriculture technology evolution. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships for new and existing agricultural management systems and technology. The individual will also be responsible for making field calls to troubleshoot/repair systems, perform updates on software, and train customers and internal employees on the set up of new equipment.

Candidates should have technical experience in operation and support of precision farming products such as VRT, GPS, Telematics and working with new and developing technology such as desktop software for GPS and Data Management.

Within a proactive and progressive team environment, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent long-term customer relationships.

We are searching for candidates with a keen interest in technology, preferably in the agricultural industry, for our growing Precision Farming product portfolio - including systems for guidance, mapping, and variable rate (VRT) control applications.

Based in Wongan Hills, the successful candidate will be a self-motivated, "hands on" individual who has a passion for agriculture technology evolution. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining customer relationships for new and existing agricultural management systems and technology. The individual will also be responsible for making field calls to troubleshoot/repair systems, perform updates on software, and train customers and internal employees on the set up of new equipment.

Candidates should have technical experience in operation and support of precision farming products such as VRT, GPS, Telematics and working with new and developing technology such as desktop software for GPS and Data Management.

Within a proactive and progressive team environment, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining excellent long-term customer relationships along with:

  • Self-motivated and "hands on" with a passion for agricultural technology
  • Technically experienced in the operation and support of Precision Farming products (ongoing training will be provided)
  • Maintaining a positive and professional working relationship with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Background in either Auto-Electrics or IT solutions

Your role:

Your work will vary from being in the workshop - completing all fit outs of new and used Agricultural Machinery, prior to delivery - through to on-farm break down call outs and servicing.

About you:

A self-motivated individual who thrives on providing the highest level of customer service, whilst maximising productivity. This key leadership role requires excellent interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to multi-task and delegate. The ideal candidate will provide and maintain excellent customer service and be the frontline service contact for our valued customers across a large agricultural region.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day to day operation of the Service Department – both in our workshop and through our team of in-field service technicians
  • Lead and motivate staff to provide quality service to all customers in a timely manner, while exceeding productivity requirements
  • Serve as the key liaison to maintain a high level of consistent customer satisfaction
  • Provide status and service reports to the Dealer Principal
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Manage the use of materials, tools and plant to minimise waste and rework

Skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • People leadership experience
  • A self-starting attitude, excellent communication skills and a high level of organisational skills
  • Ability to handle numerous projects at a time
